I want an ID card
Answer
To get a student ID card you must be an enrolled student. The first card is free, but all replacement cards cost $5.
- It usually takes 24 to 48 hours for your details to appear in the ID card database after you have enrolled.
- Once that time has passed, take your Confirmation of Enrolment letter/email to one of our libraries, Armadale Campus Customer Service or the Jandakot hangar. We are happy to view the Confirmation of Enrolment on your device. If you do not have a copy we will need some other form of identification such as passport, driver's licence or proof of age card.
Please note: if you are at Mandurah, you will need your confirmation of enrolment to get a student ID card. If you can't locate this, visit Customer Service who can print out a copy for you to take to the library. The library staff will also ask you to fill in a membership application form as this library is a shared facility with John Tonkin College.
- We will check your ID against our records and then take your photograph. At the libraries we will print your card immediately. Armadale and Jandakot cards are printed at Thornlie campus and sent back to your campus for you to pick up.
- Rockingham students can get their student cards on Welcome Days which are held twice a year. In addition, we try to staff someone in the Student Zone in the first week of each semester (February / July) to provide cards. Check with your lecturer as to when staff will be there. This information will also be provided on the Student Hub.
If you are a short course student:
- You may request an ID card, however, it will have limited use:
- very limited library borrowing (see staff at the library who can advise)
- no discounted public transport.
