How do I reset my password verification details?

Answer

  1. On the Student Hub, hover over "Getting Started", and click on "Passwords/Wifi".
  2. Under the "Manage your Passwords/Login" section, scroll to the "How to recover your account, or change your verification email or phone number" section.
  3. Click the "Microsoft My Sign-Ins website" link, and follow the instructions on the Microsoft page. 
  4. Use your student email address to sign into the Microsoft sign in page, e.g. 3004567@tafe.wa.edu.au, and then click next  If you are asked to authenticate by entering your password it is the same password that you use to log into your network account on campus.
  5. You will be taken to a details verification page, Don’t lose access to your account!  You must set up both authentication methods: phone and email.
  6. Verify your authentication phone number by clicking change, then enter your phone number. Ensure country or region is set to Australia (+61). Click text me. A message containing a verification code will be sent to your phone. Enter the code Microsoft sent to your phone, e.g. 235007, then click verify
  7. Verify your authentication email address by clicking change, then entering your personal email address. Click email me. You will be sent a message containing a verification code to your email inbox. Enter the code Microsoft sent to your inbox, e.g. 737227, then click verify.
  8. When your details have been updated, click finish.
