How do I attribute material to avoid copyright infringement?

Answer

When attributing material to avoid copyright infringements, there are several steps that must be followed. These have been broken up into three parts.

Part 1: Documents

Create documents and assessments using the SMTAFE Letterheads, Templates and Logos. These branding resources can be found on the Marketing and Communications page on SharePoint, or [Other location?].

The footer at the bottom of the page should show:

Institution Name (I.e. South Metropolitan TAFE)
Date
Faculty
Course Code and Title
Lecturer/Teacher
Do not make your own SMTAFE banners and logos as this can lead to unnecessary copyright charges.

Part 2: PowerPoints

When making PowerPoint presentations, the college templates must be used. These templates can be accessed via [

Part 3: Copyright Notice

Where applicable, insert a Copyright notice. A link to a collection of copyright notices can be found at [
Location required].

Finally, make sure you attribute, even if you have made the work yourself. For example;

© South Metropolitan TAFE, 2023.
