Am I able to use whole works created by someone other than SMTAFE?

Answer

In most cases using whole works created by someone else is not legal and is a serious breach of copyright. Copyright breaches have significant financial impact on SMTAFE.

DO NOT download eBooks and distribute them to a class. Use a permalink instead or refer students to their own textbook.
DO NOT upload whole works that are still 'in-print' and commercially available onto Blackboard. Make your own.
If none of the above is possible, GET PERMISSION.

Any permissions granted need to be uploaded to the Permissions file in Content Manager and added to the Copyright spreadsheet.

And clearly label – e.g., ‘Used with permission from Informa Business Learning, 2023.’
